Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra has been roped in for the popular Bollywood franchise ‘Golmaal’ series by Rohit Shetty. The upcoming installment will see Parineeti playing the female lead role in the flick. Chopra in recent times is a part of ‘Meri Pyari Bindu’ and ‘Takadum’ and recently signed in for ‘Golmaal Again’.
The script of the movie has been penned down by Sajid-Farhad. Soources from the production unit revealed that the role needed a bubbly and pretty and Parineeti fitted perfect in the frame. Since the role was interesting, Parineeti loved the role and gave in immediately. Director Rohit was not able to decide between Parineeti and Shraddha and met both for a narration session. Shraddha said that she would think over it and get back but Parineeti gave in to the role without any hesitation.
Chopra loves the franchise and wanted to be a part of the movie. Rohit was impressed by the positive response from Parineeti and signed her immediately. Reports say that Rohit has instructed Pari to stay silent over the signing as he wants to announce it in a grand way. ‘Golmaal Again’ is all set to go on floors from 2017.
On the other hand actress Shraddha stressed that she was not approached for ‘Golmaal Again’ and that it was just a rumour. Kapoor added that she has never done a full-fledged comedy role before and that most of her releases were emotional dramas and intense in nature. Rohit’s ‘Golmaal’ series has always proved itself at the box office. The latest installment of the series had Kareena Kapoor in the female lead role along with Tusshar Kapoor, Ajay Devgn and Arshad Warsi in lead roles.
