Asia Bizz: Toyota Motor Corp and Microsoft Corp will form an alliance which will be related to vehicle information technology and Microsoft is expected to invest in a Toyota subsidiary for approximately $12 million.

This investment will be made in Toyota Media Service Co, which is based out of Nagoya city, Japan. Toyota Media Service Co offers digital services for all Toyota vehicles. The technology of Microsoft is what will be used in the plug-in Hybrids that Toyota will release in the market by the year 2012. This will help all Toyota Hybrid cars to check information such as electricity left in the vehicles as well as traffic jams around.

Steve Ballmer who is the Microsoft Chief Executive Officer,  said that Microsoft is investing in the automobile sector to show the commitment they have in power services which is so important to consumers. And he also added that this partnership between Toyota will help energy management in a huge way.
