Budget smartphone manufacturing giant Xiaomi has announced its next flash sale for its Redmi 2 through the online shopping site Flipkart. The Flash sale will begin from March 31, 2015 at 2 PM IST for the registered users. However, the company has not announced how many number of units will be available for sale.
When Xiaomi had first put up the sale , about 50,000 units were up for sale and Flipkart had received 3,00,000 registrations for the first sale of the smartphone. Apart from the two devices, Flipkart is selling the Mi 4 64 GB without registrations. The online seller is the exclusive online retailer for Xiaomi and is already selling the Mi 4 16 GB without registrations since February, 2015.
Xiaomi is also selling its other devices, its first tablet the Mi Pad and the budget 4G enabled Redmi Note 4G smartphone in an open sale. Manu Kumar Jain, the Xiaomi India Head on March 30, 2015 unveiled that that second set of MiPad tablets which came in stock at 12 PM IST on March 30, 2015 were sold out in just 30 minutes.
The Redmi 2 has been priced at Rs. 6,999. Some of the features of the device include 4.7 inch IPS display with HD resolution, 64 bit 1.2 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with 1 GB RAM and Adreno 306 GPU, 8 mega pixel camera with inbuilt storage and micro SD card which can be expanded up to 32 GB.
