Computer manufacturing giant Lenovo has unveiled its mid-range S860 smartphone in India. The latest smartphone by Lenovo will be competing with other handsets in the market, like the HTC Desire 816 and Sony Xperia T2 Ultra and it has been priced at Rs. 21,500.
The new device from Lenovo is available for pre-order starting from April 28, 2014 on the company’s e-store and will be going on sale starting from May 3, 2014. The most important and best feature of the new smartphone is its battery, which is a massive 4,000 mAh battery. The company states that the S860 is capable of delivering 24 hours of talk time and has the ability to charge other devices through its micro USB port.
The company’s new smartphone has the MediaTek MT6582’s CPU with a power of 1.3 GHz. The device has an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 1.6-megapixel front camera and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, while reports say that the company is also planning to have a KitKat update in the future. The S860 has 16 GB of on board storage, but does not have a micro SD slot.
The new Lenovo smartphone has a brushed-metal body exterior which looks impressive and classy. However, it has been reported that only the dark grey body will be available for sale in India.
